Homeland Insecurity Idiots Create Threat Closing El Paso Airport

The official Trump regime response to the FAA issuing an extraordinary 10-day closure of the airspace surrounding the international airport at El Paso, Texas, was that “Mexican cartel drones had breached U.S. airspace and that the U.S. military took action to disable them.”

Yes, the Army at nearby Fort Bliss has a laser-based counter-drone weapon intended to be used against Mexican cartel drones … but there weren’t any drones in the area … and the weapon had been temporarily transferred to Customs & Border Patrol … who chose not to wait and used it before the Feb 20th meeting with the FAA to discuss deployment safety issues and protocols.

So, Homeland Insecurity idiots shot something like a mylar party balloon out of the sky without proper coordination with local FAA officials … creating a perceived national security threat and airport closure …
