#tavqotd 1/2 Not exactly. I traumatized them as avenues and safe places to explore facets of myself and my own trauma, then those traumas transform as my characters take on a life of their own. Both Courage and Acheron were designed to explore religious trauma and healing in their own way.

Be honest. Did you traumatize your original character for the sake of character development? Was it for better or for worse? #OCASK #OCQOTD #OCSKY

I feel a little directionless at the moment. The bg3 hyperfixation isn’t gone, but the hyperfixation for my novel is creeping in and they’re trying to share space in my brain. It’s making me feel like I can’t get traction on either. 🙃

#tavqotd Acheron’s tarot card would change alot through his arc, but there’s one that’s overarching: Death. Death isn’t a bad card, though it seems scary at first. It’s a card about change. Endings. Breaking cycles. That’s him. Leaving behind his old life and starting anew.

#TavQOTD #DurgeQotD To piggyback off this: What Tarot/oracle/lenormand card do you think your OC represents? Bonus: Do they perhaps go on a journey & reflect multiple cards? __________________ I'm thinking of making different cards for different milestones of Minfilia's journey🤔 #Tav #Durge #BG3

#tavqotd Courage is consistent, I think. She’s the Star. Faith, inspiration, positivity, and healing. But in her dark moments, she reflects its reverse meaning. Despair and doubt. But she has a knack for always coming back around in the end.

#TavQOTD Like most of my protagonist OCs, Dandy is on the shorter side (Astarion included for scale). She is a Hinfolk Bard from the College of Glamour. She was my first DnD character, and I've been playing her continuously in various campaigns for 25+ years.

Astarion stands behind Dandy with his hands on top of her head, emphasizing her shortness. She has a grumpy expression and has her hands on her hips. Art by @hettikovacsDandy, a brunette Halfling/Hobbit, stands with her finger linked with Astarion's as they show their wedding bands in the sunset. Art by @bunnymoon7

#TavQOTD Because I feel like we don't see them often (at least I don't), and I want to change that. SHOW US YOUR SHORTIES (and tell us a bit about them)! I'll start us off with #ErikOC, #VincentOC 's sword teacher! He's initially from Rogarsheim but moved to Baldur's Gate to train Vin.

Erik is an older shield dwarf with white hair and a luscious beard.

#TavQOTD Enby celebration 💛🤍💜🖤 Rynn is the embodiment of 'idk I'm just a cat' Rynn's understanding and expression of gender is all their own. Their ties to nature as a druid, that line between feline and half-elf means beauty and strength are within them, regardless of what people see them as.

July 14th marks International Non-Binary People's Day! 💛🤍💜🖤 And so, a #TavQOTD to celebrate! Please show off and share your enby tavs/durges/ocs!

If anyone asks I drew it like this so the arachnophobics don’t get jumpscared while reading the book. In reality it’s so I didn’t have to look at reference photos of bloody tarantulas for six hours.

#tavqotd Shunned vs Loved. Courage started out in a community that rejected and belittled her. She later found people who treated her the way she deserved.

#TavQOTD If you had to sum up your Tav's/Durge's journey in two words, where they started vs. where they're headed, what would those words be? Example: #RolimOC started out "broken" and now he's "healing." Both himself, and others in his job at the monastery. 🎨 by @amouswolf.bsky.social

A digital drawing of Rolim. He's crying as Cazador's hands cover his mouth and slice down the old scars on his face.

#tavqotd 🧵1 Courage has had many teachers. Her first real teacher was Pan, the god of music and one of the lords of the Feywilds. He taught Courage to play the pan flute and lute, as well as how to sing. Once she moved to Baldur’s Gate and was adopted, Syndra became her next teacher. While her…

#TavQOTD Who taught your Tav/Durge their craft? Whether that's how to swing a sword or how to make clothes or whatnot.

#tavqotd 🧵1 Courage completely rejects her dead name. Prior to the events of Baldur’s Gate, only Pan and Syndra knew she was born Atropos. When Syndra helped her pick her new name, Atropos was no more, as far as Courage was concerned. She shared the name with the tadfools only to illustrate the

#tavqotd. If your tav/durge doesn't use their birth name, are they comfortable with others knowing it? Why or why not? If they are, what is it? Ilya was born Mascha Barghest, because his parents were so supportive of him, he doesn't mind others knowing as his birth father described the name as a
