cow, any pronouns, NixOS user, fooling around with servers. I mostly set up this pds to try Tangled.
Is something going on with Discord for anyone else? I was required to change my password when I tried to login, after that I got 3 emails saying `We removed a violation` when I haven't broken TOS and never received a violation warning. Asked some friends who had no idea and said I wasn't hacked.
Bluesky's down again right? I think my stuff works through blacksky network now at least!
am I alive? I think my PDS is working again after committing some nix crimes, force writing stuff in /nix/store, to my defense it was because I couldn't even connect to the server because it was assuming the wrong network interface name as I changed hypervisor.
goodbye for now (I'm replacing the SSDs in my home server which hosts this PDS)
IPv4 is legacy technology and needs to be treated as such. I just wanted to VPN into my home network (headscale subnet router) when travelling and ended up with a subnet collision under IPv4. Obviously my IPv6 ULA has a very low chance of colliding and worked perfectly.
NixOS people, is there really not a way to make it so stuff can build even if a substituter is offline? Like some sort of an optional substituter? #nixos
