What I would do if I was PlayStation: restore some TRUST in digital download ownership. Allow players to backup their digital games on a external hard drive + allow install on another console with an offline login.

This is the engine I'm using to develop Celsius Strays, and I continue to be impressed at how variable and feature-rich it is! Definitely check it out if you're looking to create a VN, whether it's a sound novel or a more dense, puzzle-heavy game like Phoenix Wright or 999.
