It is nearly a year since I presented at the Australian OSINT Symposium on the subject of OPSEC. A year is a long time in #OSINT & #OPSEC, and since my presentation I have discussed OPSEC with many people and heard others discuss it. I am going to put this out there OPSEC is not about using a VPN.

A little Sunday read. I always thought that Apple have been behind in the #AI race. And I complemented them on wanting to keep as much on device as possible from a #privacy perspective but it now appears that the limitation of on device processing has reached its limit.

As we leave 2025 behind and move into 2026, I was reflecting on my Australian OSINT Symposium presentation. Remember, OPSEC & Privacy are not the same thing. Different methodologies, with different aims & objectives.

This is a must read to understand that Critical Thinking should not be replaced by AI. I know that Nico @dutch_osintguy supports the use of AI in OSINT and he has done some fabulous work in this area, but I also know he is 100% right in what he says in this article.
