Increasing evidence demonstrates how the global climate crisis and environmental degradation act as a risk multiplier. They can amplify vulnerabilities, inequalities and exclusions, and potentially exacerbate violent conflict and instability.

When peace agreements & justice systems exclude perspectives of women, the durability of peace itself is placed at risk. Recent initiatives in Liberia & Somali Regional State of Ethiopia show how local, women-led CSOs are essential to building stable, fair societies in the wake of conflict.
