Twenty years ago this week, Black Watch first shocked, thrilled and moved audiences in its world premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. To celebrate the anniversary, this Saturday night BBC Scotland will air a special filmed performance of the production which put NTS on the world stage.

All set to supervise my first Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. It’s all about challenge, unfamiliar territory, and learning new things about yourself… and that’s not just the young people it turns out! 🏕️

Not sure it was in the plan… but I am LOVING upskilling myself for new roles in the Scouts Scotland family with 20th Glasgow. Passed my Nights Away Permit assessment, led my first camp with a fantastic team of volunteers, and well on my way to becoming a Duke of Edinburgh Supervisor.

Spent the day with my lovely friends from Gunma Prefecture in Japan, hearing about their work on social and emotional skills and the culmination of a 3 year joint research project with Scotland. As always we learn so much from sharing.
