Reading up on AI companies, specifically Anthropic, buying books by the pallet, especially the rare ones. And then do the most horrible form of cultural murder by chopping off book spines, scan the pages then ditch them. Utmost disrespect to the humanity and the trees that made up its pages.

Is everyone still friends on here in the aftermath of the great Odyssey debates of 2026? If so we have done two amazing things. Had an elevated debate about the ongoing role of both critique and classical texts AND decided to agree to disagree about a movie on the internet. An angel gets its wings.

This is furthering mass surveillance and invasion of privacy rights. Why penalize the users when you can penalize social media companies like X and Meta for dishing out manipulative algorithms, harvesting data from users, enabling disinformation and misinformation and encouraging riots.

X, as a platform should be banned and dismantled. Far right and folks with extreme and violent nationalist ideas should be deplatformed. What Musk and other figures like Yaxley-Lennon is basically enabling domestic terrorism.

Condemning riots isn't enough. We need policy action, including an immediate appraisal of X as a vehicle for coordinating far-right disorder. And we need political leadership, to challenge white nationalism as an idea, not to validate it daily and then complain when it turns violent.

Happy to take on a month-long rest for June, after a gruelling EMA and remote exam on my last 2 modules. This will be my first proper rest since 2023. Looking forward to do non-computing stuff for the meantime!

The world today is so overwhelming. The internet is enshittified. We are bombarded constantly and it is intentionally done by bad actors. So its okay to step out of this chaos once in a while - to save some dose of sanity and escape. Fascism wants you to be overwhelmed so resist.
