Change Sets turn 16 this year. They haven't aged well. No source control. No record support. Read-only once uploaded. And a UX that makes you manually hunt down every dependency. Salesforce just gave admins a proper alternative, DX Inspector.

If Change Sets are still how your org deploys, you select components one by one, hoping you didn’t miss a dependency, then watching your Changes go read-only once uploaded. Change Sets haven’t meaningfully changed since 2010, and there hasn’t been a real native alternative. Until now.
