If you're in the Niagara Region this summer, make a point to visit Lakeside Park and take a ride on the carousel! Originally carved in Brooklyn, NY between 1898 and 1905, it was moved to St. Catharines in 1921 and been there ever since.

WOW! So MAJOR update regarding the Hockey Canada trial: The jury has been DISCHARGED! Toronto Star is reporting the judge declared that the trial's fairness had been compromised and the jury had to be discharged. (1/6)

Hockey Canada trial update: Tyler Steenbergen continued his testimony from yesterday, mostly about the group chat. The chat was started a week after what transpired, and was started by Dillon Dube, who added everyone that was in that room to discuss the night's events. (1/11) 🧵

Watching Rogue One again. One thing hit me: Jyn, while still ambivalent towards the rebellion, is asked if she could stand having the Imperial flag reign across the galaxy. She says "It's not a problem if you don't look up." I feel that's where many of us are at right now.

If you've seen the movie Dark Waters (and I highly recommend it), you know about PFAS - 'forever chemicals' that don't break down - used in a variety of products for decades that have contaminated waters around the world.

Hockey Canada trial update: After 9 grueling days, E.M. is finally done with her testimony. Though doing so from another room, via CCTV, I can't imagine how hard it was to talk about what she went through AND go through FIVE different cross-examinations (one for each player on trial)! (1/10) 🧵

Gonna try posting here again. I stopped because it's hard to focus on multiple social media apps. I couldn't leave Threads because of the community I found there and IG is uses to keep up with people I know IRL. But Threads is being a PITA, and IG is too....Meta.

Hey Ontario - are you ready for Winter Storm Part 2? *waits for cheers* I said, ARE YOU READY for Winter Storm Part 2? *pause for effect* I CAN'T HEAR YOU?!?

Starting here what I used to do (and started to again) on Threads: Daily Meme! Cause right now, we need to maintain hope with some joy and laughter. So considering what day it is, today's Daily Meme...

The talk show - the most comprehensive production we've done in the program (so far 🥲) - went great! Our group really came together so well in the end through everything and pulled it off! Some pictures of everyone involved - couple group shots, our two hosts, our prof, and the production team!

Day 17 in a row of being at the college. Thank god there's a holiday this Monday, which guarantees that I won't be here - since the college will be CLOSED!! 😅

Fit check! I'll be the announcer for the women's volleyball playoff game this afternoon. With only playoff games for basketball and volleyball left, my time as announcer is almost done for the season. Gonna miss doing it 😭

Been at college every day for two weeks - and will do so for at least one more week. Been realizing it's affecting my mental health, as I've had little time to process my personal thoughts and feelings. If you see me on here this week, venting my personal thoughts and feelings, that's why 🥲

Here I am at the college...on a Saturday 😅 We're having an open house for our program for high school students to get a glimpse of what it's like, so a bunch of us in the radio program will be running the station today! I'll be the Sports anchor today!
