the only issue i have with the shinier comic sleeves for protecting my comics? they do not photograph that nicely, or at least i cannot figure out the best place to take pictures with lighting that doesn't hide details in the shine.
okay… so i am weak as hell, kind of obsessed right now + went hunting for #SIKTC covers at a couple comic shops near me earlier today. i found some lovely jenny frison covers! (the plastic sleeves did make the pictures kind of terrible, but i am so happy to have these in my collection now.)
read basically the first 3 volumes of #SIKTC, i have been really enjoying this title so far. i didn't really know what to expect going in just that it appeared to be gritty and dark. definitely intending to read all the way to where the story currently is, but i don't want to rush myself through it.
when you want to buy a variant or incentive cover of a comic... but like, do you reeeally need more than one copy of the same issue just because of a pretty cover? i have the first printing cover, but this incentive one is cute as fuck. decisions, decisions...

this year really does continue to be quite a health journey... i've had so many doctors appointments this year and more to come. i am tired.
it's kind of unfortunate some of the bad faith takes i see in some fandoms about certain characters who are genuinely wonderful and refreshing depictions of things we haven't gotten before... we've come close in the past, but this was something i connected with so deeply and profoundly.
do you ever see tweets from people inside a fandom you genuinely love... and just feel embarrassed or concerned or both because you have no idea how in the hell you're consuming the same exact media as them with the takes they seem to have?
but, i have been messing around in spirit city / @spiritcitylofi.bsky.social lately for my productivity and such. it's been helping a lot. so there's that, at least.
i have neglected this app for a long time... i am so bad at social media upkeep...
i did play and beat re: requiem this past weekend and man, i loved it. it's right up there with re4r for me, though it has also inspired me to go back and maybe get to finishing some of the other games in the franchise this year. maybe this is the year i finally finish a few more of them.
life has been a lot of health stuff in the past year or so, but in the past month there's been more going on and i kinda forgot to exist on here.
saw iron lung with a couple friends last night + i'll say it was genuinely impressive. the cinematography was so dang good, imho. i'm also happy to support what this means for indie film making. i'm hella proud of mark for this + look forward to seeing other projects he explores in the future.
… had an irregular ekg during my yearly physical and bloodwork did explain it so i am being referred to a cardiologist… ngl, a bit nervous.
ngl, i knew the pitt fandom would be immediately insufferable with the s2 premiere.
biggest goals for this year: get a new job, read more books and make better dietary choices.

the hate and discourse of e33 sweeping the game awards is so strange to me... there is almost nothing about the story and rise of that game and it's success that shouldn't be what we wanna see in the industry. it should be celebrated.
i don’t know how it works exactly, but i started using buoy’s hydration electrolyte drops and i have noticed a difference in how i feel in a lot of different ways… and they are all good ways. placebo or not, i am loving it.

epic games thinking that AI shouldn't be labeled properly on games + being critical of steam for because it'll 'be in nearly everything one day'? oof. i think that it is absolutely important for a consumer to know... that way they can uphold control of what they are, as a consumer, supporting.
