Hey, everybody. I uh. Hate that I have to do this. I'd always hoped I never would. But after what's gone on with work, I'm officially At That Point. So, if you could share this around, I'd be deeply appreciative. Thanks. gofund.me/80ed923c3

Mechanically, Zero Parades: For Dead Spies doesn't stray too far from Disco Elysium. However, the narrative and characters are engrossing, and it's full of all the cultural commentary and esoteric goodness that helped make its predecessor so great.

The circumstances behind Zero Parades: For Dead Spies are pretty complicated, but despite all that it still manages to be an incredibly nuanced and thought provoking RPG. Here's @crustypants.bsky.social's review breaking down everything it does so well: - www.thegamer.com/zero-parades...

I once spoke to a North Korean dissident who told me that a part of him misses how simple life was there, and how he's never been able to capture that sense of community in a post-escape world (1/2).

Maybe you should *stop* obsessing about your own -- and other people's -- sexuality? Feels like it’s about time to do that. You’ve thought about this for *eight hours*?! Not only should you stop, you should tell Kim you've stopped obsessing about other people's sexuality too.

Its not a hot take but man the way the word "content" is used these days. A vile bit of late stage capitalist propaganda, lumping all forms of human creativity and expression into a single wastebin teaching the public to treat all art as disposable.

I do think there's something pretty telling in the fact that the average reaction to an AI-generated image is mild disgust, and the reaction to someone's art is "that's awesome." I think it goes as deep as the human spirit.

I think my biggest gaming hot take Is Mass Effect 3 wasn't nearly as bad as people said it was Sure the final segment could have been far better.. but everything up until the end of the games quarian/geth arc, was pretty decent imo

Esoteric Ebb centres its entire identity and narrative around an upcoming election and ensures the player is politically informed, whether they like it or not. In a world where political participation is giving way to apathy, that's incredibly refreshing.

The narrative that aspiring professional players are troglodytes with zero social skills and zero self-awareness is overblown. It's just using the infantilisation of young men as a vehicle for sexism, plain and simple, and the comments are proof that the spin is working.
