I was a Technical Artist once upon time 🇧🇷 吾十有五而志于学、三十而立

Finally understood how to make a script that automatically align and resize the UV so every painted part has somewhat little to no distortion on the pixels

game genre which defines a game that was obviously made by someone who really likes overly complex board games but got tired or gave up convincing people sit through one whole afternoon explaining rules so he made a game in that format

I agree with everything, but there's one thing that is never discussed and almost impossible for north americans to bring up which is class and how their workers rights don't exist. While hating the direction of things, they don't acknowledge that they don't own their own work.

Warren Spector says what we're all thinking. "Do those same executives suffer like developers when the needs of private investors take precedence over the people who actually create value? Does anyone up there in or adjacent to the C-suite care? Is there ANY accountability left in this world?"

I recently posted my thoughts about EA’s shuttering of BioWare. Those of you who read my post know that I was unhappy. I remain so. The tragedy of so many layoffs the last few years hasn’t been lost on me, but for some reason, BioWare hit me on an emotional level that nothing had before. I felt gut-punched.

But some of you responded that shutting down a studio like Bioware was a sound business decision. You said that the studio’s glory days (artistic and commercial) were behind them. And businesses don’t succeed on history alone.

Fair enough. But those folks clearly didn’t read my whole screed. Near the end I expressed that I was incensed that the business people who make the decisions that lead to studio closures — ALL of them, not just Bioware — never seem to pay a price.

If studio-level people leave, resulting in dilution of talent, someone is creating an environment that pushes them out. Do those culture-killers pay any price?

If executives misread

my luck: all game logic and data was coded without unity systems my sin: I focused much on ai which carries shaders and a lot of custom parts that cannot be migrated part of my framework can at least maybe I should just ditch the ui and rethink this from scratch

romance of three kingdoms is kinda fire because you have a bunch of generals killing thousands of people and throwing poems out of the blue there's no bad guys it seems, they all want to unify china, with the same politics, it's just that "it needs to be one guy and that guy is me"
