Crocodile base! Newest cast. Fixed up the mold. And also tested a new method of casting with some hard expanding foam to lessen the weight and total resin used! This weighs 1 lb 10 oz and needs no additional jaws or tongue.
I said I was gonna take a break with bases but here I am this WHOLE past week casting DOZENS of bases for many of the trello masks that don't have bases started yet, and base orders wanted for Halloween. Almost done, 6 left to go. Wish me luck my body hurts lol. Then DRILLING. SO MANY COLORS

turned out I just didn't cut a piece big enough to count for the shirring so all this work had to be scrapped and needs to be completely redone. HOBOY. I just wanna make sure everything I put out is quality artwork and looks correct particularly due to the wait people have had to endure.

I just counted and we've done at LEAST 174 masks/ partials to date since 2012 when we started. Not including any toony masks we've made just for fun. That's so crazy! Uncountable amounts of blank orders also in that time. ๐ช
Taking the sadness and guilt I've felt and manifesting it instead into anger. Enough to put it towards meaningful changes in my Terms of service and ways I can work on boundaries to be able to work on mutual professionalism and try to keep things that don't belong separate from business.

MFW They partly inspired me making realistic creature costumes over a decade ago.. if people don't even know them anymore I'm cooked tbh.
The package finally arrived after I called them 2. count em 2 more times for them to secretly need: the client's phone number and email address. the email address they've BEEN EMAILING THEM AT. FINALLY got them a customs vat fee which was the full 20% regardless of art. AND AND
7 hood patterns sewn! Next task is to shave and glue all of these plusโฆ 3 more? Comms and premades for refund money (and literal survival as this is our households only income)
Now they need a whole signed letter of art authenticity before they'll allow the client to have the package . It's been nothing but more and more paperwork needed for this. Never in my 14 years of making have I had to do this. My goddddddd. There's so little info out there for this stuff.

I had to figure out how on earth to file a whole thing with the GUVNMT in order for this package to go over the border. Good thing I had enough Ashwagandha because this is so confusing. No colleagues so far have been able to help me so I've just tried to figure it out myself.
