The free software movement started with an idea: anyone should be able to make a computer do what they want. AI is making it possible for people who never saw themselves as programmers. I built keepsake.sh for this new kind of builder. What would help you build?
Keepsake — Save points for projects you build with AI
Keepsake keeps a copy of your whole project every time it’s working. If the AI takes a wrong turn, you go back to the last good one instead of digging through version folders.

What do tailwindcss's products offer as benefits over contracting a designer or using one of the many open source projects that seem to fill the same niches?
Currently debugging a scenario & it's been sooo long since I've pulled out `git rebase -i --rebase-merges`. Before I had parallel branches I probably ran this command 3 times a day.

The folks over at @brew.sh are awesome. I was going through the process of reporting a bug that I have been noticing for the last couple months, only to realise that at the very end of writing my report - that it has been fixed 🤦♂️🎉. Keep up the great work!
Having a blast discussing the GitButler redesign! 🚀🎨 Lots of exciting ideas taking shape. #DesignTalks #GitButler
Sitting in Marrakech at the end of the first day of the @gitbutler.com summit, looking up at the stars, listening to the wildlife chirping quietly, and breathing in the clean air. This is something that I truly miss now that I'm living in the city.
Hey, does anyone in Berlin have an apartment, flat-share, or nice couch available for rental? My rental is ending at the end of the month, and despite my immoScout scraping efforts, failed to join any viewings. Thanks
High quality development at @gitbutler.com. (The changes getting deployed are on some systems that are not yet in general access) CC @scottchacon.com
Each time I put register interest in a new apartment the form makes me state that I don't have/want a Hamster, and each time I say "no" it's making me want a Hamster more and more 🥹
I love brew.sh 's Brewfiles on macOS, so I went ahead and made Aptfiles for managing apt packages on Debian! github.com/Caleb-T-Owen... Warning, despite being written in rust, it is still a utility I threw together in half an hour, and may destroy your system 😉

Can't run an interpreted script because your CPU is missing AVX instructions? Just rewrite it in rust! github.com/Caleb-T-Owen...

ARRrrrrrggggghhhhh bun.js requires processors to have AVX instructions available. There seems to be a pretty obvious build target, but compiling it would require downloading half a million dependencies that I'm not too keen on having on my computer
Got myself an old thinkpad x200, but there was a "supervisor password" set. Good thing a guide from over 13 years ago has my back! Just short out three pins on an eeprom chip and you're off to the races web.archive.org/web/20220424...

Programming languages are too hard to install. I would love to be able to simply curl a binary and be off to the races.
Was doing the Cambridge baking pi course today www.cl.cam.ac.uk/projects/ras.... Getting the steps laid out in a 12 year old course was a little bit of a wild goose chase 😆

New Years resolutions are stupid. If you've identified something you want to change, why didn't you start a month ago?
Got to love a required optional field. Found this gem on Digital Ocean's support ticket page

Using a laptop and an electric blanket feels a little cruel, but I'm warm and comfy, so it's going to have to suffer. I can't tell if propping it up on a cushion helps, or if it just plugs more of the air vents.
Advent of code 2024 has been completed! Just been doing some repo maintenance. Hope all of you have all had great Christmases too! github.com/Caleb-T-Owen...

I'm an accidental expert at security. I left the SSH key for my little miniPC in my apartment in Berlin, and despite having two different tunnelling tools installed, there is no way to just blast my way in without it.
I really dislike it when people talk badly about others behind their backs. When I ever do it, you have license to slap me.
