Frequently talks in strange voices, sometimes to other people. Lucky lesser half of one, and proud father of two. Spirited driver. Green thumb. Night owl. Lifelong learner. 🌈 ally and supporter of human rights. 48/50 states. Opinions are solely my own.

(said after waiting in a 45 minute line of cars to scan entry to a concert) "Was this really the line to pick up my grandma from prison?" It would've made the old man proud. There is another variation which involves the grocery store and a case of grandma's preferred beer. Always good for a laugh.

Just a nod of support to anyone dealing with the dark unsavory underbelly of parenthood...whether that means wavy lines around dirty diapers, or wavy lines around teenagers. Peace and strength be with you each.

Zombie Meeting: the meeting organizer is on PTO, and 80% of the attendees are unavailable, as well. A cancellation email is sent to all attendees. But, because the organizer cannot officially cancel the meeting, someone inevitably joins and is upset that they didn't RTFE.

In digging into my family history a little more, now, and am kinda amazed that for a few formative years I lived, walked, fished, and enjoyed the exact same places that they did for entire generations. I went to school with kids whose names I knew from hearing my grandma tell stories about theirs.

While doing some genealogy I found my Dad's obit. While reading it and getting a tinge nostalgic for the old man, I noticed a link for "funeral livestream". Of course I clicked it, thinking it was bogus. Not this time, wtf.

Checked in on the remaining elder on my Dad's side. She's probably the toughest but sweetest person I know. She is a saint, but she'll cut ya. She dropped some seriously wild info on me today that I really need to do some genealogy research to confirm.
