Some assorted Triophas - three spotted triophas (Triopha maculata), including an unusual pale yellow example, and a more flamboyant species, the modest clown dorid (Triopha modesta). Triopha spp. eat bryozoans, live to ~30 m from California to Japan. #nudibranch 🦀🦑

Next up: California's second most flamboyant sea snail, the blue top snail (Calliostoma ligatum) - the blue stripes are a bit more evident on juveniles. These grow to about 2 cm and live from Alaska to San Diego. #seasnail #monterey🦀🦑
