We were a group of LGBT youth—though I wasn't quite that young—when AIDS broke out in our town. We helped with education/founding the local coalition/visiting those who were hospitalized when possible & anything else you can imagine. Personally, I was inspired by one man:

In my life, I've done some things that nobody believes I did. Finally, there are so many people who don't believe I'm a Buddhist. Most importantly is the fact that I don't care about or need people's belief.

Some people are comfortable with violent & even ugly symbols to represent their dedication to freedom & democracy. I only wish to point out that I find that sort of thing rather traumatizing—it's embarrassing but true. So I'm very likely to block accounts like that.

Everybody keep your eyes peeled, your ears open. My feeling is that sometime relatively soon we're going to hear about Mitch McConnell's death. I don't know how they'll spin it—the only thing to remember is that he'll be deceased. We may never know exactly when he died. Elbows up is my final advice.

There's something that defeats me as a scientist, which is the reason behind this horrible anti-medical stance that has spread from coast to coast, even bleeding into Canada. I recognize it as a society-destroying propaganda, but who benefits? To what end, other than mass murder?!
