“many of the tents lie on city property, including the former fairgrounds tract that Council bought for $5.6 million in 2023 to prevent its development,” Such an own-goal by the city and the residents who blocked this development. Would be pretty nice to that money and homes about now.

“Where are we supposed to go?” Until the city can give a clear answer to this question, it will be hard to view this action as much more than another reshuffling of the deck for people experiencing homelessness. If the city has a plan, it needs to be shared asap. archive.ph/2026.07.14-1...

Using the breakdown lane to skip traffic is one of the most anti-social behaviors out there. I was stuck in the 64 closure yesterday and people were trying to cut ahead in the breakdown lane. Do they think I’m just sitting here for fun? Get to the back of the line like the rest of us dude.

There is no need for streets over 25mph in cities and suburbs. Arterials and collectors are bad. If you need them it means your city has the wrong land use policies.

Drove high st, Preston, barracks. Roads are fine. 50% of residential sidewalks are cleared, ~10% of commercial, and sadly 0% of city sidewalks. Preston is especially bad. Not acceptable from the city or businesses.
