Fire Emblem new incoming. Given the game's release date, this may be the final Fortune's Weave Direct. If Eshmel's the Avatar character, which I'm almost certain that they are, this is probably the time where we're finally going to learn what their deal is.
I think it's fair to raise eyebrows at trends gleaned from prerelease material. But take it from an FE oldhead, getting TRULY heated over incomplete info works you up for no gain. Game's out soon. There'll be ample time for discourse. Might as well wait for the full picture.

Since we're in a Fodlan mood, I might as well post the Three Houses FE7 character sheet I made like AGES ago around when the game came out. Never did anything with these, but still was a fun theorycraft.
Their prominence on the boxart and having gendered designs means that Fortune's Weave is almost assuredly having an Avatar, Eshmel. They seem Agarthan. Hopefully more Shez than Byleth in how they're used in the story.
The Prequal/Sequel debate thickens. Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave "seems" to be a sequel to Three Houses. The events of Three Houses take place between Fodlan year 1180 and 1185. Per the UI in the trailer, Fortune's Weave seems to occur in year 1449, almost 300 years later.
JP Fire Emblem Twitter already updated to the new Fortune's Weave Anna design. Bless, it's so much better than the Three Houses version. 🙏
In Fortune's Weave, exploration time is divided into turns. Doing the math, there are 43 days between the date shown in the UI and the Deadline. The game lists 172 turns left. 43 ÷ 173 = .25 Thus, a "turn" equates to exactly 1/4th of a day in Fortune's Weave.
I have borked my left wrist and pretty badly cut up my right hand... ...in a line of work that quite notably needs dextrous operation of both 🙃

I find it funny that both of the Avatar characters were turned into androids in FE Shadows. Dunno if that's an intentional throughline to reference the character customizability or a silly coincidence. Heck, maybe it's a dragon thing. We'll have to see what Tiki brings...
