One week until my birthday. Still nothing planned for it. Still not looking forward to it.

Well, I'm not going to work tonight. I seem to have somehow strained a stomach muscle or something. Getting through work last night was difficult and today it's worse, more painful.

Over the past several days, I've been feeling more depressed and down on myself than I have in quite a while. Just a bad patch, and it will probably pass, but that doesn't stop me feeling awful and worthless right now...

One month until my birthday. Nothing planned for it and probably won't bother. Usually don't have much luck trying to plan stuff for my birthday and usually end up feeling down no matter what I do.

Well this has been a horrible day. Too fucking oppressively hot, making me feel tired and a little unwell through much of the day, while also making it difficult to sleep much. The end of summer cannot come quickly enough for me...

I don't think people honestly realize how few comments writers get. If I send something to 15 people, 3 tell me something, maybe 2-3 put a little emoji react on it, the rest tend to not even respond to it. Of my posted works, I'm lucky if I get 5 comments -in a year-. That is not per story.

Fun fact, if you like something, take the time to let the person know. It does not need to be detailed. And no, the like button isn’t a substitute. Likes are ephemeral, comments are forever. It is much easier to put someone down than it is to lift someone up. Take the high road.

Incidentally, this past month, I have actually been getting back into writing, so I'm currently hopeful that I will actually get to resuming/finishing off 'That Day' as well as my other old unfinished stories eventually.
