Today's urban ride. It would have ended with a ride up parc Mont Royal's Olmsted Road to the summit for the grande finale, but we bought a couple of Coco-Rico😍 Portuguese rotisserie chickens near the end of the ride and had to carry the bag in one hand.

On a quest to find the very-best bike rides in Québec. I have seen a mink in the wild. Living kidney donor Bike ride map collections: https://ridewithgps.com/users/1487251
Weather tomorrow: less than 50% chance of rain. Feeling lucky?
Place des Montrealaises park's landscaping and lawn is now fully installed, and presently nice and green.
Here's a CBC Arts video about the mural when it was unveiled in 2017. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPw5...

Here's another big Leonard Cohen mural, located in the Plateau near near where his home was, at 3961 Boulevard St-Laurent (visible from Napoléon Street and St-Dominique). It's 9 stories tall, painted by Kevin Ledo. Details: cultmtl.com/2017/07/leon...

Two views of Montrealer Leonard Cohen.
Riding north through the Plateau on newly-rebuilt rue Laval street, on nice new asphalt.
Waiting for the green light on the Berri bike lane, at rue Viger.
Square Viger: named after Jacques Viger (1741 – 1805) Everything else named Viger: Mayor Jacques Viger (1787 – 1858)
Viger Square looks like this⤵️ without water. A lot nicer with water!
Viger Square fountain's water is back on. 18 seconds of fun⤵️ 😀
23 seconds of 💦fun in the fountains in Square Viger. 1000s of cyclists pass by here every day, very few get their daily-dose-of-fun👍 riding through the fountains. Water is only 1 inch deep, it's literally made for bikes.👍 25 feet underneath here is a major expressway, the autoroute Ville-Marie.🚗🚚🚌🚑
When I arrived at Parc Mont Royal there were a pair of young peregrine falcons frolicking over the field and around the trees. Probably 2 of the 3 Université-de-Montreal tower's 2026 young'uns.
Clock Tower beach today. More shade people today than sunshine people, bc it is hot.

17 bicycle riders are going across the Pont Jacques Cartier bridge in this photo.
Montreal's famous decaying paving stones. Once you start looking, they're everywhere. Cheaper than granite, and the paving stone company gets to sell them to us again, and again, and again...
Montreal gargoyles. (Finally I get a good photo of them.)

HEC's Édifice Hélène-Desmarais. "Hélène Desmarais, as a member of the prominent Desmarais family—tied to the Power Corporation of Canada empire—she shares in a family fortune estimated at approximately CAD $12.7 billion." Nice to see she's giving back to the community, in this and many other ways.👍
