The Swansea Model Railway Exhibition returns to the LC Swansea this weekend! 🚂 Expect a fantastic lineup of layouts across multiple scales and gauges, plus plenty of traders and society stands to explore over Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September. A brilliant weekend out! 🎟️

Had a fantastic visit back to the Snowdon Mountain Railway at the start of the summer. Running from Llanberis right up towards the summit, the views across Eryri and the sheer engineering of this unique line never fail to impress 🚂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

What a fantastic weekend at the brand-new Beyond Steam Model Railway Exhibition! It was brilliant to see so many incredible contemporary layouts all on display inside the stunning setting of the STEAM Museum. A massive well done to the organizers for a great event! 🚂✨

The Industrial Steam Gala comes to Blaenavon from Sept 25 to 27! As the only steam gala in South Wales this year, expect intensive passenger and freight trains tackling steep valley gradients. A spectacular lineup is building, with two more locos yet to be revealed! 🚂⚒️ 📸 Peter Brabham

21st June 1836: The Taff Vale Railway Company was created by Act of Parliament! 🚂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Engineered by Brunel to conquer the narrow Taff Valley, its early trains were legally capped at just 12 mph. Today, its legacy lives on through two preserved locomotives.
