I almost always get a sandwich with chicken or beef. But this tomato, feta, basil, and olive oil sandwich, while light, is so full of flavor. Pair it with a ground beef potato balls and/or a chicken empanada, and it's a near perfect brunch.

Game 31 of 2026: Nine Sols The 2nd metroidvania I've played. While it's a Sekiro inspired parry game on the surface, digging deeper shows a complex story about spirituality, religion, and technology through Taoist lens. The final boss with all 3 phases is one of the hardest I've faced (1/n)

After 13 hours of attempts on stream, Eigong and all 3 phases are defeated. This is the toughest boss I've fought in a Soulslike. She might even be tougher than Isshin. 😔 This was an overall majestic fight, even if winning made me cry at the end in this clip. 😭 "Hesitation is defeat." - Isshin

Finally setup my Switch 2 to run docked with the video output on my OLED monitor, while game audio is output to PC thanks to a capture card. My 8BitDo controller not only works with the Switch 2, but can also wake it up with a shake. As that one Pokemon character says, "Technology is incredible!"

Getting more people to play Nine Sols thanks to my posts is a bigger victory than defeating Eigong's 3 phases. For anyone who overwhelmed looking at that boss fight, the game has difficulty options. Nine Sols has a beautifully written story, and you can still experience it on easier difficulties.

Been a year, huh. This moment honestly changed my views on all Soulslikes. After experiencing the beauty of parrying mechanics with zero stamina, replaying Dark Souls or Elden Ring honestly feels slower and archaic. It's why Lies of P, Nine Sols, and Expedition 33 are so near and dear to me.

After 72 hours, it is done. While not as chaotic as Demon of Hatred, Sword Saint Isshin was still an intense enemy that barely gave any breathing room. Like other bosses, once you learn the rhythm, the battle becomes a dance of patience. I've now finally completed all FromSoft Soulslikes on PC. 😌

We have a Japanese parry game. We have a Korean parry game. We have a Taiwanese parry game. We have a French parry game. Imagine if we had a parry game from each culture and/or ethnicity. 👀🤔

Nine Sols is an underrated and unknown game. Its reputation centers around difficult bosses, and Sekiro-inspired parrying mechanics. But beneath it all, there's an extremely complex and well written philosophical story about faith, spirituality, and technology through a Taoist lens.
