For context, this guy demanded that THV Satellite strike her White Ensign, and now all Trinity House vessels carry a letter to explain our authority to do so*. No one has in the 130+ years since, but we're ready, and we're not striking our colours because some jumped up RN officer pushes their luck.

The Harbour Master at Cowes saw me in full uniform and said I scrub up well. I'll take that. (It's slightly less impressive if you know I've stood watch him in the past, but still, I'll take it anyway)

Turns out I have an accidental battletech lance on my computer desk that I haven't put away yet. A terrible lance, but a lance none the less.

Getting on the train to go visit a friend. 45 minute trip. £42 for a single, or wait 20 minutes for the next train at £23 for a single. I'd travel by train more if the prices weren't so batshit.
