First impressions: Damn, this thing is tiny. Buttons and D-Pad are super responsive and the IPS screen looks good. Banjo-Kazooie with just a D-Pad plays a lot better than I thought it would, and it runs at a buttery-smooth 60fps. Not even the XBLA port could do that!

The recent announcements from Evercade got me to join their ecosystem. Getting the EXP-R console in about two weeks, along with one of the NEO GEO Arcade collection carts. Also preordered the Nexus with the Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack. Guh-huh! Here’s hoping I can get the DOOM Collection, too.
Thinking that I should start with the VS-R home console, but the Evercade Nexus comes out in a couple of months with dual analog sticks and native versions of Banjo-Kazooie & Banjo-Tooie in a pack-in combo cart. Eh, I’ll probably get both.

All I can say is that I am SO DAMN GLAD that Stage Tour is coming to the Switch 2.
Addressing the giant elephant in the room by shooting it dead with a shotgun isn’t the best idea. Looks like the Switch 2 will be my main platform going forward.

Not sure if I should go for the standard one, or the all-white Anniversary Edition with the wireless controller, Memory Card and Metal Slug cartridge.
