When I was a minor I had adult friends who would listen to my gossip and they'd tell me stories about their teenage years, and I cherish those times. But now we've come to a point where as an adult I don't feel I can offer the same safely. Bc predators soiled everything and ppl assume the worst.

I'll miss old Twitter. It had so much character, the cute bird, play on words realting to birds like Tweet. Now they killed the bird and turned his home into 1940s Germany. This site has a ton of issues, what site doesn't now. But still leages better here than there.

I hate this take of how women/femme people who shave are a threat to feminism. It only becomes a problem when people force other people to shave. People often forget that if you grow your hair out again after shaving, it grows back as sharp stubble which itches like crazy.

Tumblr post saying: the year is 2035. the new beauty standard is for women to cut their ears off, as ears are a masculine trait which make the face look too big and hearing isnt necessary as it doesnt align with being demure. evil feminists say perhaps this is unnecessary and ears are natural. women are agressively proclaiming they are cutting their ears off due to sensory issuesA reblog response to the previous Tumblr post saying: yeah no, I don't trust this take on body hair (particularly that last sentence) from someone who talks the same way about top surgery. I have very coarse body hair that catches on any clothing I wear and pulls uncomfortably if it's long enough. That's from my Ehlers Danlos syndrome (which causes skin issues) so yes, it is a legitimate issue for some people due to disability (mental or physical). It is so, so true that the trend against body hair is largely driven by sexism and body shaming. At the same time, saying anyone who shaves their hair is doing it because of sexism is just bad faith and doesn't acknowledge the reality of living with different conditions. This is also super true with top surgery. Debilitating back pain exists. Preventative mastectomies exist. Wanting shirts to fit you in a way that you like better exists! Anyway, be kind to others who say they're in pain.Bild
