I spent 5 years and $100K to bootstrap a startup and failed. Now working on http://itslaunchday.com to help founders with marketing.
We really all thought Bluesky was gonna replace Twitter for a while, didn’t we? 🥲
Indie hacking might be dead soon: 1. A.I is making it super easy to build software 2. 10x more people will ship products even if they don’t know how to code 3. Dev founders will lose their only advantage (knowing how to code) 4. Marketing founders win every market and dev-only founders disappear
My Product Hunt alternative is almost ready: 1. It's not a competition, it's a celebration of indie makers. 2. I recorded 20min interviews with each one to present their products. 3. There is a huge discount on every product... but only for people who share it on social media. itslaunchday.com
In 2025, I wish your side-project will make enough money to quit your job.
Startup founders: what do you struggle with the most when designing your SaaS? (layout, UX, colors, fonts, logo, etc)
I only watched 3 chapters of Danny Postma's SEO course and already learned: - why the startup I spent 5 years building failed - why most of my new ideas are 💩 Humbling but necessary. Affiliate link because I’m broke www.dannypostma.com/seo-course?v...
I’m feeling the thrill of launching a new product again. My feelings jump from thinking it will go massively viral and change the world… to being afraid nobody will care and I will look stupid. Entrepreneur life 😶🌫️
I've started recording 15-min interviews with the 10 founders of the first LaunchDay event. It will be a celebration of indie makers, their stories and the product they're working on. (+ huge discounts for 24 hours only!) I'm super excited 🥳 itslaunchday.com
The problem with using social media as an entrepreneur is that I became addicted to likes and followers instead of traffic and sales.
Any founder building in public who is NOT building a Bluesky app? Looking for new accounts to follow 👀
Having lots of followers won't make your product successful. I have 100K followers on 𝕏, but the startup I built for 5 years never made more than $4K/month 🤷♂️ I was going viral often, getting 8-10K visitors per month... [full post below →]

Me: I have 5 months of runway left to become profitable Also me: let’s spend 2 hours making sure the border radius of every button is proportional before launch
What’s your best B2B SaaS idea that you don't have time to build? (I will steal it)
That’s why I don’t like building tools on top of big companies APIs. Lots of builders got burned when Twitter made API super expensive. And now this…
So sad, 300 developers, some finding out 'mid coding' that Spotify deprecated a lot of their Web API. community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-f...
I have: - $1K monthly revenue from my old product - 1 new idea I validated but haven’t launched - 5 months of runway I need to reach $4K/mo before April or I’ll have to go back to a job. Wish me luck 🙏
Anybody knows a way to setup a basic blog so I can post long-form articles on BlueSky? I miss this feature from 𝕏.
The biggest mistake I made with my failed startup was to keep pushing because I thought: “we almost have product-market fit!” for 5 years. But after 1 year the signs were already clear that the market didn’t need us. And we should’ve moved to a different idea.
I built a startup with my wife for 5 years and burned myself badly. Now I'll never do it again. I want my relationship to be a safe space from the challenges of entrepreneurship, not a part of it.
I just spent 20 minutes scrolling through my LinkedIn feed and actually enjoyed it. AMA.
Followers but no engagement on 🦋? It's because the algorithm doesn’t show your posts yet. To fix: 1. Follow 50+ people in your industry 2. Spend 20min/day writing quality replies When people like your replies → the algo learns they like your content → they start seeing your posts → you grow 📈
I get more joy with 1K followers on 🦋 than with 100K followers on 𝕏.
The design of the homepage has just been approved by my girlfriend 👍 The first batch of itslaunchday.com is coming soon ☕ ⚡
I’m pushing my 100K twitter followers to join BlueSky where the quality of the conversation is more important than how viral your content is.
