I’ve been chipping away and writing a lot of the alt texts so I’ll have a good backlog and not need to worry about missing a day for a while, but I have a bit of a snag I’m running into mentally; for characters with single letter names (V from DMC, G from SF), I try to include their titles so-

Flavor Text: A strange T-shirt found in the locker in the security guards' room. It's covered in bizarre illustrations. There was an absurd number of these T-shirts...were they intended for sale?

In a get-rich-quick scheme, Dan decided to strike a deal with Larry Butz to let him fight in the Steel Samurai Show that was set to happen, with one of the opponents being the terrifying Brachydios, deciding capitalize on his (what he assumed would be) success by selling merch. Phoenix & Maya are investigation around the security room, having found boxes upon boxes of unsold shirts. Poor guy…

Saikyo Witness Dan (AVP 011) Artist: Thanh Tuan #StreetFighter #ストリートファイター

Flavor Text: One of the security guards assigned to the Central Park fountain. He was on duty on the night when the incident took place.
He maintains that he ran to the scene after hearing a loud noise at the time of the crime, but didn't notice anything unusual.

Dan Hibiki (Street Fighter), a man in a pink gi pointing. His gi is covered in soot, and his left elbow has some green slime on it. Dan Hibiki is basically a walking punchline, mainly existing for the developers to have some fun with his goofy, over-the-top personality. In context of this card pack, Dan has been working at Central Park as a security guard in order to offset his debt with Furio Tigre. This card shows him on the witness stand, being cross-examined by Phoenix regarding his whereabouts the night the statue was destroyed.

Flavor Text: [The Destroyed Statue in Central Park] Larry Butz (Defendant): Not Guilty Dan (Real Culprit): Guilty
"Looks like the jig is up... But you can't take me to jail if you can't catch me!" "Hey! Get back here!"

Dan Hibiki (Street Fighter) running from Dick Gumshoe (Ace Attorney), as the Judge looks surprised. Ordinarily in Ace Attorney games, the true guilty part gets a chance to have a breakdown on the witness stand, but Dan skips that process and jumps straight to running away.
Dan’s crime was an accidental one, it came about from falling into a debt with Furio Tigre. He got a job working at Central Park the same month that Larry was preparing for the Steel Samurai show, which gave Dan the idea to crash the show, defeat all the enemies the Steel Samurai was supposed to beat up, and get fame & wealth by selling t-shirts of himself… however, Dan failed to account for the fact that a Brachydios is a giant monster, so he got blown away in an instant. Brachydios' explosive saliva changes colors until it explodes, the orange figure that Blanka saw at night being Dan covered it in its slime. The statue’s explosion also came about from this slime, hence why there was so much of it at the crime scene. Dan still shows up in future Ace Attorney themed card packs, so either he got away, or he just did his time.

Flavor Text, spoken by Dan: No matter what I tried, I couldn't get ol' Punchy to wake up...so I gave him a "little something" to make him look lively!
Unfortunately, it worked a little too well...

In context of this card pack, Dan was likely trying to rile up the Brachydios the night before the Steel Samurai show. Doesn't seem to end well for the poor guy…

Flavor Text, spoken by Larry: Yeah, I was the one who organized bringing those guys into Central Park. But I did get permission from the security guard! Come to think of it, he did seem strangely interested in them... Not that I can blame him. Those guys are something else!

The clipboard Dan is holding has the date of June 17th on it, as well as the security code for the Brachydios' cage. In context of this card pack, this took place a day before the alleged demon gatherings that Wendy Oldbag saw on June 18th, as revealed by other cards, it was just Sasquatch’s naturally cold body and the Anteka’s horns that made her think it was demons. This card also establishes that only 2 people were capable of knowing the Brachydios’ cage code, as Larry snuck the Steel Samurai’s opponents into the park secretly. Dan had a vested interest in the Brachydios especially, going by the 'Saikyo T-Shirt (AVP 017)' card…

Flavor Text: Its steel body, designed to pierce mobile armor, has missiles and gun ports for taking its targets out.

Gun Volt (Mega Man X), a stocky blue robot charging up two large blasts of energy from its shoulders. Gun Volts appear in the first Mega Man X game, being fought in Spark Mandrill and Storm Eagle’s stages, as well as the opening stage. They charge up sparks that travel along the ground, and can also fire missiles from its shoulders. Their name is sometimes translated as Gunbolt. The patterns of the ruins in the background are of a TEPPEN original concept regarding the Mega Man X series, where it took place thousands of years in the past in an advanced civilization. The diamond(?) like shape is recurring imagery, appearing in other cards involving the X series, meant to evoke something technological.

A zombie (Resident Evil), a living corpse surrounded by blood reaching up at the viewer. Zombies are the de facto enemy of the Resident Evil series, this particular zombie’s design being taken from the first game’s remake of those enemies. Zombies will sometimes scare players by attempting to grapple their legs, leaving them open to attack to any other enemies in the area.
