You can either be the most miserable, selfish son of a bitch imaginable and be cold and cruel to others because of what some have done to hurt you, or you can prove you're stronger than that by being kind and empathetic to people regardless of how the world tried to break you.

Today I'm reminded of a wound that has yet to heal, a pain which resonates and influences to this day like an infection yet to be purged. The only hope in my soul is that one day, this wound will heal, leaving only a scar that we all can learn from.

If it’s anything I wish to say this 4th of July, after everything that’s happened to our country in the past nine or more years, I’ll say this: Despite the long, shameful and bloody past, we all have the power as Americans to shape the future, just as it was written 250 years ago.

Suppose I could just use this account as a journal and try to write something every week. First off, it’s been a week, starting last weekend where I genuinely felt happy on Saturday having a meal with my Grandmother on her birthday, then taking my partner to go see ‘Digital Circus’ the same day.
