Phang: "Capital One said, 'We don't want the business anymore of the 45th president of the United States, his businesses, his failed sons, and his revocable trust.' So you can imagine -- I am just hypothesizing... but it suggests whatever Capital One uncovered was pretty bad. Makes you wonder..."

Remember the quaint GOP idea of letting the states decide such issues? They were never sincere just as the GOP Supreme Nominees were not sincere about respecting "settled law" precedents like Roe v Wade.

Dead or alive, Mitch McConnell is on extended medical leave — on your dime. This is the same Mitch McConnell who voted against: paid family and medical leave for everyone else.

Bild

Mitch McConnell hasn’t been seen or heard from in 6 weeks(!) in the hospital. Yet he still has a job, still getting paid, and getting unlimited world class healthcare. The man who voted against a living wage, against universal healthcare, and against guaranteed paid leave—is now getting all three.

When I worked in WaPo Opinions in 2017-2018, senior editors specifically told junior editors not to factcheck Marc Thiessen and other MAGA columnists, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to publish anything by them at all, and “we need them for intellectual diversity.”

It’s very telling that opening your publication to MAGA “thought” requires a massive downgrade in quality control.

📌Mitch McConnell’s been in the hospital for 37 days. This would cost the average American roughly $150,000 for the bed alone. This would completely wipe out most Americans’ savings — if they have savings. I hope he stays in that bed another 500 days so he and his damn family can feel our pain.

Why doesn’t he GO to the hospital and ask to see ole Mitch. If he does, that will confirm he’s either fit or unfit to retain his seat. If he can’t see him, go home and make the damned appointment for his replacement. Instead of speculating Beshear needs to DO something & stop dragging his heals
