@abdulelsayed.bsky.social triumphing over something like $60 million, $32-ish million of it AIPAC money, is not a "narrow" victory, it's a people's earthquake. This kind of spending is oligarchy in action, to smother democracy through its formal channels, and is getting normalized. Still he won.

NEW: An ICE flight headed for Moldova turned around over the Atlantic Ocean yesterday and flew back to an ICE hub, returning 15 hours after it left. We don’t know why. Video I obtained from the scene shows 11 exhausted and shackled people disembark. gillianbrockell.com/why-did-this...
Why did this ICE flight turn around over the Atlantic Ocean?
Video shows 11 exhausted and shackled people arrive back at ICE camp airport 15 hours after they left.

This plane landed in Myanmar about three hours ago. This is the third ICE flight to Myanmar this year. Burmese deportees in 2025 were immediately sent to a torture facility next to the airport, according to Myanmar Now. Weeks later, not all of them had emerged.
This likely ICE flight operated by Journey Aviation has taken off and appears to heading for an Asia removal. In May, this aircraft deported people to Myanmar.
Third long-range private jet ICE flight in one day. This one is headed for Africa, possible third-country nationals onboard.

If you have a minute NEW PROJECT newsfor38yearolds.com basically a Drudge of indie left media goal is to function almost like an RSS reader of the best pubs & newsletters of the left updated constantly with one jokey headline thoughts? No need to verify your age; if you're on Bluesky, you're 38
Been waiting for this to bubble up to the surface. Again, any other time in American history when we had functioning news media, this would have been a five alarm scandal. There would be senate hearings. There would be consequences for everyone in the chain of command involved in this.
Holy shit. www.wired.com/story/a-civi...
I remember when Max Miller suggested the folder being deleted and reuploaded was due to mysterious and powerful people causing a Dropbox malfunction. You mean to tell me he leapt to a conspiracy without having all the facts?????
This story just keeps getting worse…. www.politico.com/live-updates...
Processing DNA for nearly a million people in a year? No problem, ICE says. Attaching a $300 camera to an agent’s vest? Logistical nightmare. That's one of the most remarkable ironies of this great story (based on FOIA requests by @georgetownlaw.bsky.social's Center on Privacy and Technology).
ICE Collected Nearly 1 Million People’s DNA Last Year—Including Young Children
Internal documents show ICE's DNA collection has skyrocketed in the second Trump administration. Now hundreds of thousands of people never convicted of a crime are in an FBI criminal database forever.

Your taxpayer $ at work. What the hell is the fuel cost, alone, of these flights?

There are a number of planes in ICE's charter fleet that I'm monitoring for potential third-country removals today, but the flight patterns are unusual enough that I'm waiting for more info. This one though? This private jet operated by Talon Air is most likely an ICE flight.
Did the person/people he’s saying this to insult him or something? Or is he just letting the steroids speak for him?

Adam O’Neal did exactly what Bezos wanted, Bezos clearly doesn’t care about views anymore, and his departure was sudden. Soooo….seems like maybe a story with the word “allegations” is gonna drop? (I have no inside information, this is mere speculation.)
Days before his abrupt exit from The WaPo, Adam O’Neal was privately boasting that he had pushed the Opinion section further to the right—raising new questions about what really drove his departure. Details in @status.news: www.status.news/p/adam-oneal...
There's a nasty fight between DHS contractors battling each other over deportation dollars and accusing each other of benefitting from a rigged system. Caught in the middle are immigrants, as @dfriedman.bsky.social, Will Sytsma, and I detail www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Journalism employment has fallen everywhere in the US — except New York.
The New York-ification of Media Keeps Growing, Warts and All
Why has New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani become nationally prominent so quickly? Part of it has to do with his bold and controversial policy proposals, his undeniable political skills and his wholehearted embrace of social media. But it can’t hurt that there are so many journalists in New York to write and talk about his exploits and so few following the mayors of most other US cities.
