#quiltsky just a heads up. Baby Lock has announced the discontinuation of the Sashiko machine. Anyone who wants one should contact a dealer immediately and place an order. I’m not sure they’re even taking orders from them. I have a friend who placed an order a couple of months ago.

#crossstitch #co2laser this is a rough draft of what the final piece will look like. The cardboard will be maple or birch with a natural matte stain. The olive branches will be the green you see here but will go all the way around. I’m almost done with the 5th pattern. I love winter so much. ❄️⛄️

#crossstitch #CO2laser Save money by DIYing these bobbins for your cross stitch threads/floss. Many libraries have these lasers if you don’t own one and Maker shops in many cities have them too.

#crossstitch These designs are by Little House Needleworks and the series of 9 are from the Farmhouse Christmas series. I have all nine patterns and I’m close to finishing the third. I really enjoy doing this at night instead of doom scrolling.

#sourdough today’s bake is complete. I wish I had a double oven. I would have been done hours ago. First world problem.

#sourdough Loaf number one of the day. Reheating the cloche before baking loaf number two. I am encouraged; everything went very well with this batch of dough from the start.

#crossstitch #sewingroomorganization I found a better solution to the three tiered cart I bought. I like this a lot better; it’s neater and more efficient and is also inconspicuous until you come further into the room.

#crossstitch Forcing the birth of new neural pathways here as a floundering noob. That’s what happens when you watch a few YT videos, order a bunch of stuff, pick a pretty picture, and jump in head first without checking the depth of the pool! Repeated failures lead to success eventually, I hope!

#crossstitch I want people to know if I am ever granted any power in this world, one of my first acts will be to outlaw six threaded skeins of embroidery floss. Manufacturers will be required to spool it in a single strand like thread so users don’t waste precious eons or deal with 12” strands!

#quiltsky #crossstitch I know this is an incredibly simple pattern, but it was still fun to do. I’m just getting started, but this is definitely more fun for me and more interesting than most of what is offered on TV. I wanted something portable and quiet that I could do in bed at night.

#sourdough Well, at least one of them is close to textbook. That first one with the better rise, turned out better than I thought it might.

#sourdough I started my dough too late yesterday; I knew it was too late but decided to push it. At 1 AM it had only grown by 40% but I was tired so I shaped them/put them in the fridge. I had to bake them 3 hours apart. You can see where one splooted/is over proofed. Hubby says he’s glad to eat it.

#quiltsky #sewingroomstorage my husband added more cabinets for me today. Also, I’ve gotten some questions about the quilting ruler hanger so I’ll post another short video hopefully explaining it better.

#quiltsky #organization Clear acrylic is hard to see, especially with the shadow from the cabinets but I’m super happy to have this. I can stack multiple rulers on each hook and he’s ready to make a vertical version should I need it.
