The #Coproduction Values and Principles Co-MPASS tool has been co-refined to become an accessible card game. You can use this Co-MPASS to #reflect, #guide and #evaluate (yes, you read that right) your co-production or co-design process in any context, alongside any participatory approach.

This framework of social interactions reflects my own experience of messy #ParticipatoryResearch It's not always possible for everyone to be in the same room, & circumstances can change during the project. Flexibility to participants needs is an important form of respect!

💭 How do you report the dialogue and learning during #co-production and #co-design? Is the dialogue always held around a table? This Social Interaction and Learning Framework provides a way to communicating how we achieve dialogue in blended social interaction www.elgaronline.com/edcollchap-o...

Blended social interaction and learning framework. A 3x3 grid based on the dimensions of time and space.

Vertical Axis (Time): Categorized into: Same time, Blended time, and Different time

Horizontal Axis (Space): Categorized into: Same space, Blended space, and Distributed space.

The framework includes four diagonal arrows pointing to the corners and two vertical arrows pointing to the top and bottom, representing the spectrum of interaction:

Top Left: High human interaction.
Top Right: High social fidelity.
Bottom Left: Low social fidelity.
Bottom Right: Low human interaction.

Each of the nine cells contains a specific combination of time and space.

Same time / Same space: People sitting around a physical table.

Blended time / Blended space: People in a physical room and remote participants interacting with a digital whiteboard.

Different time / Different space: Distributed individuals interacting with content independently at various times and locations.

Following on from that point (great thread), I would add 'Provide detail.' Funders don't like uncertainty, so reassure them that you know who will take part in these dialogues, when and where they will take place, what the objectives will be - and that you budgeted for the requisite resources.

Very exciting that our paper on qualitative researchers' experiences of the peer review process has struck a chord and is the third most downloaded article from an APA journal in 2025! @janeemcallaghan.bsky.social @jeffnz.bsky.social @andrealamarre.bsky.social @joannasemlyen.bsky.social

The 3rd most downloaded APA article of 2025 dives deep into a big challenge for #qualitative researchers: #peerreview feedback that doesn’t align with their values and methodology. Check out the study in Qualitative Psychology: https://bit.ly/3NIXcbY @vicclarke.bsky.social @ginnybraun.bsky.social

Here are 5 top tips for bringing lived experience into commissioning spaces, from Isaac Samuels OBE: 1. Show up as yourself because real honesty is what changes the room. 2. Invest in relationships because co-production only works when trust grows.

Hi 👋 bluesky! Here, in the below is some of my work in codesign and coproduction from working in mental health care research. The participatory zeitgiest here mh.bmj.com/content/45/3... presents a theoretical model of the relational transitions that help understand how things work in co-design 👇

Palmer et al (2019) had also found dialogue to be a key mechanism for #codesign and #coproduction Principles such as power were rarely discussed the articles we located, but we could consider whether there was #dialogue mh.bmj.com/content/45/3...
