Enjoyed the performance while the tie was live but its a big problem now its settled. Its a problem for the players because it shows they can produce good intensity on a short turnaround. Its a problem for the coach because there's no synchronicity at the sharp end of the pitch in April #lfc

And we looked a player short with the eye test AND it shows in the expected threat race chart

Don't watch golf outside of the majors and ryder cup but that today from McIlroy is as good as I've ever seen. An all-time great, in the zone and locked-in.

There really isn't much difference between 3xCB and Frimpong directly replacing Salah. Frimpong and Gomez will play in the same zones of the pitch regardless. The most interesting bit will be on the other flank as kerkez will have Hakimi AND Doue to deal with, a formidable prospect
Excellent game. Bayern deserved winners but maybe not as ruthless as they would have liked. Madrid improved a lot after the subs.
Bayern the better team in every department. Well worth their lead and maybe should be 2 ahead. Real flaky at the back making some crazy passing choices and the forwards are only playing for themselves
A lesson in being ruthless today. We were pretty good for 40 mins, arguably the better team. Hugo should score, Salah has an easy square ball for a wirtz tap in. Then City absolutely clinical after we give away the pen. Salah missing his pen summed it up. #lfc
Plenty to like at 0-0 (wirtz positioning, jones as 3rd buildup option) but we simply have to take one of those big chances. But once city got ahead they took over #lfc
Probablt the most athletic team we can field (bar Frimpong) which is a good thing considering the 2 games so far this season: AWAY LFC total distance 109.7km High Intensity (>6.5 m/s) 10.5km MCFC 118.7km, HI 11.2km HOME LFC 110.2km, 9.3km MCFC 117.9km, 9.4km
With help like this its hard to see *any* team being able to beat PSG over 2 legs in the coming years, especially an English one. PSG revised schedule 👇

Never mind that Lens, with far fewer resources, wanted to play the match, never mind the team a point behind loses momentum.
Absolutely. Just updated them to the latest games: Arsenal - more distance in 27/27, avg 114.84 vs 110.57 opposition City - 22/27, 115.72 vs 112.17 LFC (which you obviously have) 2/27, 109.07 vs 113.04 Pretty consistent opposition numbers against all 3, the big outlier being our effort.

There have been 1,179 long throws into the opposition box in Premier League games this season. Those have brought about just 24 goals - or one goal every 49 long throws. Matches are also being delayed for an average of 10 minutes, 42 seconds just for throw-ins to be taken.
The relationship between total distance and results is noisy and complex but the high level summary for #LFC this season is: 1) 8 games where outrun by > 6km, W0 D2 L6 2) 8 games where outrun between 3 and 6km, W3 D2 L3 3) 11 games where distance was +/- 3km difference: W7 D3 L1
