I had some stuff in my "updates" tab, and it looks like gmail just automatically deleted it? (I sure didn't, and it ticks me off because I was keeping it there because I *wanted* it there.) Fortunately it wasn't important. Does anyone know about this? Is this some bullshit new AI "feature?"

there is literally no amount of caveats or careful wording that will protect you from stupidity or bad faith, so you might as well say things straightforwardly and strongly to begin with.
