Watched TCU at the Big 12 Tourney in March. You could tell she was a star and was gonna be a great pro. After their game, Miles just came in the crowd and was chatting with folks near me. I could have asked for a picture but decided against it. That feels foolish now. Marta Suarez was also amazing.

The Tigers won 14-0. So they outscored their opponent in every inning. The #Royals did the same to the Phillies on July 6. From the best I could research at the time, it was a first in MLB history. Now it’s been done twice in a month. 🤯

On the list of my professional grievances, it’s somewhat low on the list. But it very well may be the proverbial straw to break the back of my sanity: when people schedule meetings for a certain amount of time, but regularly go far over. I should just start dropping right at full time.

It is often said — fairly — that MLB doesn’t have its finger on the pulse of its fanbase. But it is *so brilliant* that for their merch ads for various fanbases and their unique, local flavor, that the St. Louis one asks what high school you went to. LOLOLOLLLLLL!!!
Sometimes the universe provides us something — a small sign — that karma could be real, and when it does, we have to run with it and take the satisfaction that we can amidst the greater cavalcade of shit. Today is that day. I’m not even directly impacted, yet it is still so, so sweet to see.

I am livid that anyone with even the slightest health concern is playing in this game. Personally, especially for the Arsenal lads. But it’s really coaching and player welfare malpractice. Give minutes to those who haven’t contributed much. Nobody remembers or cares who finishes third.
