After 20 years, my run with NBCUniversal has come to an end. It's where I've spent my entire professional career to date, and I'm so proud of what I've accomplished there alongside many talented colleagues. Transitions like this one can be tough. But looking forward to figuring out my next chapter.

Absolutely loved SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY. One of the best MCU movies ever, in large part because of its character-centric storytelling and giant beating heart. The entire cast deserves huge props, but a special shout out to Jacob Batalon. He crushes it - every scene w/Ned and Peter is fantastic.
August 1st too soon to start spooky season? Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages!
Amazing how there is a class of film industry observers so desperate for superhero films to die. Sure, some movies work and some don't. But superheroes have stood the test of time, and they originate from comic books which are one of the great American art forms. Superhero movies are here to stay.
In this household we root for Willow Nightingale. What a success story. What a promo tonight on #AEWDynamite. Keep pushing her to the moon and beyond. She is a star.
Americans should be eternally furious at Trump for the way he mismanaged COVID and for the millions of deaths and long-term illnesses that he and Republicans are responsible for with their lies and idiocy. To now try to lay blame on Fauci - one of the voices of reason during that time - is insanity.
As a mega DC Comics fan, was really excited by a lot of the announcements coming out of SDCC. 'Bout time that the likes of Steel, Vixen, and Static Shock got ongoings - these characters have been popular for decades yet too often have gotten the short end of the stick. Plus more Demon and Jonah Hex!
Incredibly exciting casting news for the new Black Panther movie. If you've been paying attention, David Jonsson has quickly become one of the most promising actors of his generation, between his outstanding work in movies like Alien: Romulus and The Long Walk.
SDCC ‘26: David Jonsson is the MCU’s new BLACK PANTHER Ryan Coogler will direct Black Panther 3, hitting theaters in December 2028.
I am so glad Rick Moranis got this Comic-Con moment. An absolute icon and a huge part of so many of our childhoods.
All hail the king! Rick Moranis receives a standing ovation making his Hall H entrance at Sam Diego Comic-Con for #Spaceballs: The New One.
RIP to a horror and genre legend in Chuck Russell. I never met him, but at one point it looked like he might end up being attached to one of my screenplays. Suffice it to say, I was over the moon that there was a chance I might get to work with the guy who directed The Mask and Dream Warriors.
Filmmaker Chuck Russell has passed away at 74. Chuck Russell directed The Blob & Nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warriors in the 1980s, and later directed The Mask, Eraser, Bless the Child, The Scorpion King, and Witchboard (2025). A horror legacy that will never be forgotten.
For many years, if you asked me what my favorite place in LA was, I would have probably said the Arclight Hollywood. I have so many great memories of seeing movies there, and it really felt like the town square for LA's film community.
I feel like Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is the ultimate Millennial TV show. It's about a smart, funny, quirky, well-meaning person who worked to build what seemed like a good life ... only to find herself attacked at all angles by vast, unrelenting, and sinister forces who view her as disposable.
I went to SDCC every year from 2006 to 2019, and have so many amazing memories from the show. While I considered a return this year, it ultimately wasn't in the cards. Hopefully soon. But, I am channeling that SDCC energy into my comic book series Halloween Team. Big news coming this weekend!
THE VAMPIRE LESTAT had a killer season that demands some Emmy love next year. This evolution of Interview With The Vampire took huge tonal, thematic, and other swings that paid off mightily. My one issue is, again, we need longer seasons! 7 eps is not enough for a show this complex and ambitious.
THE ODYSSEY pulls off a magic trick. The stunning set-pieces & action sequences in its first two thirds will leave your jaw on the floor due to the scope of the visuals - but they're all building towards a third act that's pure beating heart and fist-pumping drama. The finale makes this a true epic.
The friction in downtown Burbank today between all the streets and parking lots being blocked off due to World Cup festivities, and movie nerds desperately trying to not be late for their afternoon IMAX showing of The Odyssey ...
First re-watch of THE PRESTIGE in many years. Had actually forgotten all the big twists. There’s so much to like in this movie, although I think other Nolan films (like interstellar and Oppenheimer) have eclipsed it for me.
Rewatch of DUNKIRK. I don’t think it’s possible to fully replicate the total immersion of seeing it in the theater at home, but man … this movie still rips.
The new Rolling Stones album is legit awesome. Banger after banger song. Is this the hardest any band has rocked in their 80's?
Some very exciting and productive HALLOWEEN TEAM conversations today ... Soon, what was once thought to be dead ... will rise again.
With Trump, every accusation is a confession. Without fail.
Part of me is very sad to hear that Marvel is moving out from NYC. New York is a huge part of the DNA of Marvel, and it feels wrong for them not to have offices there after so many decades. That said, as an East Coast to Burbank transplant myself … welcome Marvel Comics to Burbank!
So eugenics is now an official policy of the US government and our military? This is insane. Hegseth and so many in Trumpworld are completely deranged and living in a Nazi adjacent, manosphere-drenched haze of stupidity.
Hegseth now wants taxpayers to pay to give testosterone injections to troops to make them better warfighters.
This scandal in and of itself would have ended the political career of any other President. Will someone in power please show some fight and make some real noise about this?

So sad to hear about this. Sam Neill was an actor who always elevated any role he was given - often giving genre films and TV an extra touch of class and gravitas with his presence and skill.
Sam Neill has sadly passed away at the age of 78.
THE VAMPIRE LESTAT penultimate episode - wow! A couple of tour de force performances, and a shocker of an ending. How are they possibly going to wrap this up in one more episode?
EVIL DEAD BURN has plenty of strong performances and memorable moments. And Director Sébastien Vanicek brings a lot to the table in terms of visual flair. But, yeah, I do hope that we'll see the series return to Raimi-esque madcap humor. That to me is what makes the franchise so iconic and unique.
