Are they getting access to the nuclear codes and hypnotizing the president into using them? They are referring to bank/infrastructure hacks and exaggerating.
Let's get on with Bugs! These 3 are most directly inspired by one of my all time favorite game series, Hollow Knight+Silksong. The cultural identities of the various types of bugs are superb. I had to balance light and dark with the moths and snails, and who can deny how cool the mantis tribe is?
Thinking on this now that I'm back at work, the apathy is almost a physical thing. The standards around coding quality have taken a pretty violent nosedive now that the C Suite sees dollar signs. Makes a developer feel like the last 3 decades of learning good coding practices was all for show.

Being forced to use it at work has done nothing but increased my apathy towards what up to a year ago was interesting and challenging work. hailey@hailey.at · 2w agogenuinely, if you're not re-evaluating your position on AI at least once every 1-2 months and re-evaluating how it performs for the types of tasks important to you, then you are not actually challenging your priors. i know this is crazy! but thats how fast things are moving right now.

Having been made compulsory at my workplace, I can report AI is great for churning out content on projects you don't want to bother with or learn anything about. Standards have dropped so far you can get away with barely half-assing.

The tech industry has insisted that AI would make workers’ lives easier and more productive, that the more people understood and used AI, the more they would like it. Something closer to the opposite has happened.

This is especially bad when trying to look up code. I don't need the slop slinger to give me an example of How To Do The Thing when I'm looking up how to fix a very specific bug I encountered while building The Thing. Also, AI has destroyed traffic and engagement on sites like Stack Overflow.
