Trump has repeatedly failed his base on the issues they voted for. The economy is in the toilet, he started a new foreign war he can't end, and he hasn't even delivered on immigration. The only people left he can please are the flag-wavers who care about America's name above all else. Thus the lake.

"Individual AI use takes less energy/water than a hamburger." It's true, and I should definitely eat less meat. But I confess, sometimes I'm hungry for a hamburger. I'm never hungry for Adobe Acrobat not to work.

I will be taking a social media break during Lent this year in the hopes of rebuilding some neglected connections between my heart/soul and the world around me. See you all after Easter!

Something really needs to be done about the mismatch between high school and college writing. Students come to college with such counter-productive ideas about writing (that you should always avoid repetition, or that passive voice is inherently bad) that have clearly been hammered in as axiomatic.

A weird side-effect of the Epstein files release is the realization that many of the most "powerful" and "important" men in the world put like negative effort into composing their emails.
