It is funny that as more people get duped by AI, the response more frequently seems to be to insist that the models are developing godlike intelligence and we all need to be sooo careful when the real lesson is clearly that the human psyche can get absolutely one-shotted by personalized flattery

With all respect, there is no group whose opinion I am less interested in when it comes to a film adaptation of The Odyssey than Classics People. When an entire discipline revolves around reverence to and thorough knowledge of a text, evaluating a deliberately modern adaptation is kind of impossible
