Trump talks tough from inside his Truth Social bubble, but suddenly has nothing to say when he's actually in California. While the president uses LA to raise campaign cash, survivors of last year's firestorms are waiting for him to finally deliver federal relief to recover.

Trump's visit to California was a total snoozer. Very low energy. No speech. He could barely take a question on the tarmac. Night night, Grandpa!

When you ask voters to approve taxes for public transit, what you mostly get is a map of residential density. Here's the latest from Spokane, WA where the measure narrowly leads at the moment.

There is not a big enough fake “caravan” for Republicans to manufacture to save them in the midterms from their having made gas, groceries, housing, healthcare, and everything else massively more unaffordable by choices that they have made.

I'm not sure why I have to two-factor to sign on to view my household utility accounts online? Is someone else trying to pay my bills? And if so, why are you trying to stop them?

My teenage nephew and niece learned coding in school and are helping me migrate a website. When I was in high school I took a typing class on an old Selectric that I thought was the bomb.

Elon Musk is going to try to buy another election for Trump. Anyone still using 'X' or driving a Tesla is part of the problem. If Musk has that much money to spend buying politicians, he isn't paying nearly enough in taxes. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/30/u...

Elon Musk Plans at Least $100 Million in Midterm Spending to Help Republicans

Elon Musk, a year after a huge blowup with President Trump and the Republican Party, is said to be planning to spend in at least eight states to help them in November.

I'm over it. If "soft-secession" is too strong a term for people, it is time for blue states to ramp up our 10th Amendment "uncooperative federalism". At this point, it is a codependency issue. When are we finally taking care of ourselves? www.nytimes.com/2026/07/24/b...

Trump Administration Admits Canceling Grants to States That Did Not Vote for Him

Federal officials said in court documents that they halted billions of dollars in funding for energy projects to states “based solely” on whether they backed President Trump in the 2024 election.

Steve Hilton says Californians can hate Trump but still vote for him. So Hilton says can hate Mango Mussolini but still vote for his stooge to be Governor . Hard pass. A MAGA with a British accent is still a MAGA. We are in our Becerra era now. laist.com/news/republi... #california

Repeal the the Trump Republican tax cuts for corporations and billionaires in their “One Big Bill”. They wanted Trump, so THEY can pay for his unnecessary, unplanned war in Iran, not people on Social Security and Medicare nor middle class taxpayers struggling to pay his sky high prices and tariffs.

End the war in Iran right now. Use the money for universal health care, child care, elder care, and high-speed rail instead. Let Trump take the L for launching an unnecessary war without a plan. Not one more U.S. soldier or civilian should die for his foolishness.

End the not-in-the-U.S. Constitution Senate filibuster. For stuff Republicans want -- such as tax cuts for billionaires -- the filibuster does not apply and is not a hindrance. For nearly everything Democrats want, such as universal health care, the filibuster applies and thwarts passing it.

"I introduce myself as a Catholic nun, I tell them I went to Mass this morning for you, and I'm not a hearing officer, I have nothing to do with the whole process, I'm here to accompany you, to go in with you if that's OK," said Sister Kuhn. "Most days I go, there are unaccompanied minors.”
