In 1980 as a 15-year-old, I got a job paging in the Tennessee Senate. (Got my first newspaper writing job the next year.) Over the last 45 years, I've seen corrupt and squirrelly politics, much perpetrated by Democrats when they had power. But this GOP redistricting: Whew. Slick racist politics.
