Retired after a long career in public policy development with an emphasis on economics, finance and infrastructure. 🇦🇺

“I can’t understand why the Iranians keep fighting for their country”, says a man who’s making a living out of betraying his country.

Trump: I HAD to surrender in the war I started with Iran! It was for the good of the world! I took one for the team! So the world OWES me bigly! And I’m going to collect, just you wait and see!

There are always people trying to take away your freedom and choices in a bid to enrich themselves. Be on your guard against them.

Trump is an agent of chaos. And in the furious chaotic whirlwind that he’s caused, he’s hoping that Americans, and the world more generally, won’t notice that he’s stealing them blind.

The Trump regime is attempting to provoke the citizenry by sanctioning the execution of innocent people by ICE thugs, but they’ll be happy if these unlawful and unjustified killings become normalised, knowing the people are becoming cowed. Why aren’t police and the National Guard protecting people?

Kudos to the greatest negotiator to have ever lived for negotiating a continuation of the status quo relating to America’s access to Greenland. 😑

How long until US foreign policy under Trump becomes “We will take anything we want at any time from any country and you will do nothing about it because we will nuke the first country to resist.”

Whenever I see any of the chest-thumping ‘patriotic’ poseurs in the Trump administration, I get the strong impression that they would sell America out in a heartbeat if they thought they would benefit personally from such a transaction.

The November 2025 election results in the US will rattle Trump and the MAGAGOP. But instead of them listening to the public mood and easing back on their excesses, expect them to double down frantically on their punishment of the people, implementing Project 2025 and rigging the mid-terms next year.

It’s starting to seem like no matter how far right you are in the US, you’ve got to keep looking over your shoulder for someone even further to the right.

Liberal “Dead” Ted O’Brien on 7.30 tonight saying he’s attending the Federal Government’s productivity summit to represent households who are doing it tough. What rubbish! He’s representing big business that hasn’t shared productivity gains with workers for at least a decade.

If Putin is warning Europe “to not throw a wrench in the works” over his ‘agreement’ with Trump and “not use backroom dealings” to torpedo it, then you can bet your last dollar that the agreement is very good for Russia. Which means it is very bad for Ukraine.

The Israeli Government: Now that we have destroyed Gaza, rendered its population homeless and engineered widespread famine within its borders, we need to find some schmucks to take it over and meet the costs of reconstruction as we haven’t been able to displace the population to other countries.

Looks like Independence Day in the US will be trumped by Autocracy Day when the Felon in Chief signs the Big Bastard of a Bill into law.

With the US review of the AUKUS, it would not be surprising if Trump is getting ready to try and shake down Australia. If he does, it would be an ideal opportunity to walk away from the deal and revert to a sub deal with France.

Expect a spill in the Liberal Party in the September quarter, after Senatorial membership changes on 1 July. The hard right faction will not be denied for long.
