I’m told the Pittsburgh sinkhole bus, which had been in a dead line to be scavenged for parts to keep other buses running, was instead fixed and put on the road yesterday. It needs a special wrap, which basically just covers the part of the back that sank, maybe an animated pavement/dirt thing.
Heard as I bicycle has a woman in the park: “I want to get a bicycle!“
Love to have my city tell RIDOT that keeping me safe on a bicycle is bad.

Walk in local bike shop with housemate’s bike, needing repair. Get funny looks. “Hey, this time it’s not my bike!” (They just did extensive work on mine, which given how many miles it gets was not really unexpected)
With so much of New England's generation capacity coming from natural gas, every kilowatt we get from solar is good news; even with this there's still a lot of bare roofs waiting for their chance!

Back to Rhode Island and on the last bus back toward Providence of the night. Lovely that we put the bus stop the furthest from the terminal. 😕 Bus a few minutes late, @transit.app has given up on it and won’t let me share that I’m on it 🙃

We’re in Chicago now to meet my in-laws; we’re belatedly celebrating their anniversary. Marie had been trying to figure out why hotel rooms were so expensive. Anyway three different radio shows we listened to this afternoon reminded us about Lollapalooza so I guess I am officially old now.
Can’t even be like “sorry Minneapolis I wasn’t familiar with your game” because I totally was.
