You might replace her presence. But you can't replace the history of her loyalty, the way she held you down when you were broke in spirit or in pockets, the way she fiercely shielded your name from criticism you deserved, or the way she chose you when the world offered her more.

Asking for a video is an instant *close application* why would I leave my likeness with you forever while you tell me "thanks for applying..."
If you asked me about my postpartum experience, I would say it taught me how strong and capable I am. But if you asked me on a deeper level, I'd tell you we didn't deserve any of that and should have felt safe enough to not have to be strong in the most vulnerable period of our lives.
