Per their statement, AIPAC is committed to backing anyone who puts the interests of Israel above the interests of working people in the USA. Even if that means supporting Republicans. This is why AIPAC sucks. Because they think they can buy our government. Fuck AIPAC. We need to win in November.
$70m to lose. I truly hope AIPAC and others keep up this trend.
Rare credit where it’s due. This is the correct headline.

Haley Stevens has conceded, endorses El-Sayed. That's a win. That's a good thing. She's not going to try and do some chicanery to undermine his win. She's telling her voters to rally behind the Democratic nominee. That's what we need, to work together to beat Mike Rogers. www.ms.now/liveblog/mic...
2026 primary results live: Stevens concedes to El-Sayed in Michigan Senate primary
Live updates: Progressive Abdul El-Sayed eked out a victory over the establishment candidate, Rep. Haley Stevens, in a highly contentious primary battle to the end.

It’s almost like New Yorkers voted for him to work for us. Fancy that!
New York City’s business elites are long accustomed to direct access to City Hall, where even Democratic mayors felt the need to court the city’s wealthiest and most influential corporate leaders. That access is getting shredded by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
We never seem to learn that polls are bullshit. We didn’t learn that from 2024. However, $70m in PAC money for Stevens is why the result is what it is. AIPAC and others put its thumb on the scale. Seems like their on course to still lose. But all that money in politics IS the problem of our era.
There is a pretty big flaw to the thing people are saying about AES squeaking out a win despite polls having him up big recently and that is that polls are fake.
NYT still hasn’t called it for Abdul. Has anyone other than NBC?😔
With that…sleep. The work continues. But for now: rest well, internet. ✌️💜
NBC NEWS CALLS IT FOR ABDUL AL-SAYED, 49%-47%!!! LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOO!!! YES!!!
I need to sleep, but this fucking election! C’mon, Michigan! Abdul’s gotta fucking win!
I have a terrible feeling Wayne county is going to push Stevens over the line. I fucking hate it.
Further update Margin 22,000 El-Sayed statewide with each new votes coming in, some of them are narrowing margin, especially if they come from Wayne county. Kornacki is reporting that many of the latest updates from there show 2:1 margin for Stevens. About 89,000 votes left to count in Wayne.
Abdul just dropped below 49%…I swear…if Stevens wins this. I’m gonna be so disappointed.
I’ll say it again: nothing would give me more joy and happiness right now than seeing AIPAC burn $40m and get, precisely, nothing for it. The amount of money that has been thrown around by PACs to keep Abdul out of the Senate cannot be overstated!
Any AES supporter would have been thrilled with a win of any margin as recently as a month ago. A few late polls showing a bigger lead shouldn’t change that reality. He won against the Dem establishment and $62M of PAC money. He was barely on the radar when he entered the race.
I’ll be very interested to see the postmortem from this Michigan primary, especially since the polling (internal and external) was all over the damn place! No poll had it this close, that I’m aware. Not one. Which should remind us, polls are not a crystal ball. All that matters is the vote!
If Abdul still wins, I’m okay with close. I want AIPAC to have blown $40m away for nothing. That’d be worth it, even if the margin of victory is ~2%! Outspent 9-1, and Abdul still wins? I’ll fucking take it, however it breaks by the time the last vote is counted!
Haley Stevens is putting together a stronger-than-expected showing across rural and small-town Michigan. The race remains too close to call, but those margins are worth watching.
None of this is going to be called in Michigan tonight. I’m going to try and stay positive. There’s still a shot Abdul pulls this out. Stevens’ lead in Wayne is dropping. There’s still a lot of votes to count. Don’t give up hope yet, friends. ✌️
Susan Collins announcing she'll vote against a controversial nominee is basically the moment it becomes clear that nominee will be confirmed. It means Thune has enough votes to confirm, and thus, Collins gets a pass to look independent.
El-Sayed is under 50%…what the fuck? What the fuck?! What…the fuck?!?!?! Jfc, this is not good. I swear…Detroit…what…the fuck?!
I’m not in Michigan. But I am watching. And I’m seriously not thrilled by how much Stevens is catching up on El-Sayed. It’s making me panic a bit.
I'm not seeing Stevens get the big numbers she needs out of Detroit and other places to catch up to El-Sayed, but Michiganders what are you seeing/hearing?
Why. Is. Stevens. Catching. Up??? Michigan! Do not do this to us! We need Abdul El-Sayed to win this!
