Can’t help feeling a bit sad for Starmer. I’ve always had deep respect for him but these days being PM is about as tenuous as a premier league manager. Trying to tell the public that 14years of underinvestment can’t be fixed in 2years seems like an impossible task.
@martinlewis.moneysavingexpert.com well done you on sharing something so deeply revealing in public. I lost my late teens and early 20s to anxiety. Felt shame and embarrassment so couldn’t seek the help i needed or tell people. Luckily for me it faded with age, but it still casts a long shadow.
Kind of mis-quoting Master Yoda but.. insecurity leads to fear. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to claiming parkrun is race and the threat of legal action. Actually, it might have been “the dark side” but close enough
I’m not suggesting this as a “solution” per se, but if all I got from my #parkrun result was my own time, I’d still be more than happy. I appreciate that’s a very personal opinion but it would very much underline “it’s an all inclusive run and not a race” if adopted.

For the first time in ages some of the Kent ambassadors managed to assemble in the same place. The sun coming out was the 🍒 on 🔝
