I spent the last two days of this school year in Kingsbridge in Devon, where the kids take part in 'challenge week'. My group used a variety of world-masks as the inspiration for some 3D making, coming up with a really diverse range of outcomes. 🙂 www.darrellwakelam.com #edusky #UKEd

Today's workshop was online, to Thatto Heath Primary, where Yr 3 wanted help making Ancient Egyptian Gods. I showed them a few simple techniques, and shared some of my more elaborate models to inspire them. "Even when we can't get there, our ideas still can." www.darrellwakelam.com #edusky

I spent an hour with the Reception kids at Wiveliscombe Primary today. They each made an insect, which they’ll paint tomorrow. As well as ‘art’, we talked about insect anatomy, biology, symmetry, even numbers, amber fossils, flying. 😮 Art helps to make learning memorable. 🙂 #edusky #UKEd
