#TodayInQueerHistory July 24 (2013) The seaside town of Budva was the host of Montenegro's 1st Pride march. The event saw 120 brave protesters march amidst a wave of homophobic abuse including chants of "kill the gays". The police arrested those who attacked the marchers.

I'm learning there's no perfect time to start a project... I keep waiting for the planets to align, but they won't 🙃 The only way forward is to begin before everything feels ready. Action creates momentum, not perfect timing

#TodayInQueerHistory June 22 (1969) Somewhere over the 🌈... #OTD we lost our friend, Dorothy herself, Judy Garland. Judy remains one of the LGBTQIA+ community's most enduring icons. Her death was one of the sparks at Stonewall, and she was one of the inspirations for the OG Rainbow Flag.

#TodayInQueerHistory June 21 (2000) Scotland repeals the abhorrent Section 28. Scotland's government devolved in 1999, and repealing this was a priority for some ministers, like Wendy Alexander. Section 28 remained in England and Wales until 2003.
